Learn More »Once the shed site is dug out to the proper depth, it’s time to level the area. Afterward, compact the site to avoid settling of the shed. If you have chosen to add a base to set the pallets on, you should do so after the site is compacted. Before the pallets can be placed, they must be altered to fit correctly. First, remove the boards on one side of each pallet. Be careful not to crack or bust the remaining boards. Next, ensure the remaining boards are flush with the base of the pallet. Cut off any excess. This allows for the pallets to fit together tightly.
We recommend approximately 5” in depth to be the minimum for your gravel shed foundation.
