On surfaces like windows, mirrors, shower screens or tiles, condensation will remain visible but can be wiped away, however on wood or plaster, the moisture from condensation can be absorbed into the material. “Over time this will create damp patches which may cause damage to sills, frames and surrounding walls. It can also cause health issues due to unwelcome mould appearing in corners of the house. “According to the NHS website, if there is damp and mould in a home, the occupants are more likely to have respiratory problems such as asthma and allergies leaving babies, children and the elderly most at risk.” To help the nation tackle the problem, the cleaning experts have shared their top tips to tackle condensation in the home.
