Saniflo Macerators require regular cleaning

Saniflo Macerators require regular maintenance to ensure they are kept clean, free of limescale and in good working order. Looking after a macerator is easy, with the right chemical it’s as simple as pouring the solution into the system and letting it do the work. The most common issue we hear from those with Saniflo Macerators is that the system does not come on or go off when it should, which causes a bad smell. This is usually the result of using bleach or other general cleaning products not specifically designed for use with a saniflo macerator. It is important never to use products containing bleach in a saniflo macerator as bleach corrodes the seal around the macerator valve. This results in a faulty system as the macerator cannot sense when to open or close. To avoid damaging a macerator, it is important to use a specially developed saniflo descaler product to clean and descale whilst being gentle on the system. Specially developed products, such as Saniflo own brand product, can be expensive. However, our Saniflo alternative (Toilet Cleaner and Macerator Descaler) is half the price of other Macerator products.

HOW TO CLEAN & DESCALE A SANIFLO MACERATOR PUMP TOILET USING DIRTBUSTERS

Toilet Cleaner & Macerator Descaler works as a general toilet cleaner as well as to clean and descale macerator tanks. Our formula contains phosphoric acid, which works to break down limescale and dirt, whilst being gentle enough for the macerator system. Cleaning a macerator should be carried out regularly – once a month in hard water areas and once every three months in soft water areas. Here’s our step-by-step guide on how to use our Toilet Cleaner & Macerator Descaler: Disconnect the macerator from the electric supply. Pour 1-2.5 litres of Toilet Cleaner & Macerator Descaler into the toilet bowl. Turn the macerator pump on for a few seconds to allow the descaler to enter the macerator. Turn the macerator off again and allow to work for 2 hours. Do not flush the toilet during this time. After 2 hours, reconnect the power supply and flush the toilet to rinse. For general toilet bowl cleaning with this product, simply squirt the solution around the toilet bowl and flush the toilet (scrub with a toilet brush if necessary). Dirtbusters Toilet Cleaner & Macerator Descaler comes in 5 Litre bottles or 1 Litre toilet ducks. It is a macerator safe, toilet cleaning solution designed to break down limescale and dirt from toilet bowls and macerator tanks. We designed our macerator safe product to provide professional results whilst being half the price of other branded saniflo macerator products. Keep your macerator in good condition, clean and limescale free with our professional, safe toilet cleaner and macerator descaling solution.

What can I put on my ceiling instead of drywall?

Trusscore Wall&CeilingBoard is an alternative to drywall for ceilings. An eight-foot length of Wall&CeilingBoard weighs in at under eight pounds, which means it can be installed by just one person.

Anyone who has ever lifted a 43-pound sheet of ½” drywall off a truck, into their house, and then wrestled it up a ladder and into place for nailing to their ceiling joists, knows the process isn’t much fun. Drywalling a ceiling is hard, awkward work, work that almost always involves at least two people. And once the drywall boards have finally been attached to the ceiling, the work has only just begun. A long, messy process of taping, mudding, sanding, and painting still lies ahead – a literal pain in the neck. And don’t even mention the sheets of drywall that crack or break during the installation process.

What if there was a better alternative?

Trusscore Wall&CeilingBoard is an alternative to drywall for ceilings.

An eight-foot length of Wall&CeilingBoard weighs in at under eight pounds, which means it can be installed by just one person. There’s no taping, no mudding, no sanding, no painting. The installation process is four times faster than drywall and much cleaner. Each sheet of Trusscore Wall&CeilingBoard clicks into place with the next in tongue-and-groove fashion. Easy-peasy. And if you decided to go with a contractor rather than the do-it-yourself route, that ease and speed of installation translates into savings for you. Less labor means less cost to install.

Once it’s installed, the benefits, particularly when compared to drywall, continue.
