It has recently been reported that actress Anna Friel has been ordered to remove or rebuild her extension as it was not completed in accordance with planning permission granted in 2014. Windsor Council has issued a building enforcement notice against her and the actress now has three months to respond. In this case Anna Friel has agreed to make the required changes to bring the property in line with the Council’s planning requirements and if this is completed, no further action will be taken.

Selling your House

When you sell your house Fosters Solicitors will ask you whether any Building Works, Change of Use or Installations have taken place at the property and if so, whether you have the planning permissions, Building Regulation approvals and Completion certificates for the works. This is so that we can respond to any enquiries raised by your buyer and confirm that any works have been done in accordance with regulations.

Buying your House

When you buy your house Fosters Solicitors will thoroughly investigate the property. Part of this will be to identify whether any works have been undertaken at the property which would require Planning Permission, Building Regulation Approval or a Compliance Certificate. This is done to ensure that you do not face any action for a breach of the regulations once you become the legal owner. It is also a requirement of any mortgage lender that these checks are done. When buying a house we would always advise that you have a Local Authority search and Survey carried out on the property to help with these investigations. If you are looking into buying or selling a property, contact our Residential Property department today. How strong are Keter sheds?

Yes, Keter's sheds can handle the harshest of weather conditions. Keter sheds are produced with recycled resin, making them extremely sturdy and weather-resistant against warping, rotting, fading, rusting, or peeling. The sheds are all durable, easy to clean, zero maintenance, and fade-free.

While Keter sheds are extremely durable and sturdy when built on solid and level ground, depending on the area conditions, it may be best to secure your shed to the ground. For example, if your shed is in a hurricane area or an area where weather conditions can be extreme, you may choose to secure your shed. All Keter sheds come with notches on the floor where anchors can be secured. The types of bolts that will work to secure your shed are included in the manual. The types of materials you may require, for example, a removable concrete screw and a rotary hammer, are dependent on the material of the ground you are securing your shed to.
