These are next-level electric heaters in the range of 5,000 to 10,000 watts. Some produce even more heat, but might be too large for a garage in Zones 1-3. They’re powerful enough to keep the entire garage warm in a milder climate. If you have a 2-car garage or larger and want it warm more than just a few hours at a time, we recommend you consider one of these. Again, insulation is essential for the effectiveness of any garage heater. If you mount one of these to the ceiling or high on a wall, and there’s no insulation above it, most of the heat will be lost. Cost: $225 – $400 plus the cost of running a 240V line, if you don’t have one already. Features: There are a bunch of different models and options, but many have adjustable heat levels plus multiple fan speeds. Some feature louvers that can be adjusted to direct air where you most want it.
