IS : 303 plywood

Moisture resistant or MR plywood is resistant to moisture as the name suggests. It is not waterproof. Therefore, it is good for interiors or indoor applications. For example, for making furniture for the living room, bedroom, pooja room, study room, and so on. Basically, for crafting the furniture which is not in direct contact with water or prone to getting wet. Hence 303-grade plywood is the right choice for all such applications. The major difference between MR and BWR or boiling water-resistant plywood is the type of adhesive used. A superior kind of adhesive is used to fabricate BWR plywood. This type of plywood can resist boiling water to a certain extent as compared to MR plywood. Boiling water-resistant or BR-grade plywoods are resistant to boiling water. Hence, these would be a better choice for areas like kitchen counters, bathrooms, for making chairs, or furniture for terraces, balconies, lawns, gardens, etc. So, BWR plywood can be used for semi-outdoor areas. BWR grade is superior to MR plywood. These can be used for indoor applications where furniture can get wet at times. You need to select the right one which fulfils your requirement to ensure the durability of the furniture of a particular area.

IS : 710 Plywood

It is BWP or Boiling Waterproof grade plywood. It is also known as Marine-grade plywood. This plywood is much stronger than MR or BWR grade plywoods. It has an excellent waterproof quality. It is used for making ships and boats, it won’t get damaged even if kept submerged in water for long. It can bear extreme weather conditions hence counters or panels exposed to humidity or moisture for a long time can be crafted with it.
