Heavy galvanized hold down anchors are available that attach to the anchor bolts and then use heavy lag screws to attach to the stud. They hold the plate down and provide extra security against lift forces, similar to hurricane brackets on rafters or trusses. If planning to use hold down anchors you’ll need to place your anchor bolts into the concrete to align with corner and mid-wall stud locations, and use longer anchor bolts for the added material.
