Home Depot makes it grand slam easy to have a shed installed in your back yard. The consumer needs to do two things to make this happen. First decide which style Tuff shed you want and the area size. A call to Home Depot is usually required to make the initial purchase. If you're looking at a 12x12 and want it in a 8x8 or 8x10 or 8x12, they can do that, just call them and yes prices go with size, bigger cost more, smaller cost less. Then about a week later a local Tuff shed representative will contact you to confirm size, color, hard ware colors, door locations, set up, delivery install date. The second thing the consumer must do is provide a large enough location for the shed to be installed that is level within 4 inches, has a cement pad, or a 1/2" or smaller gravel pad. They will not install on bare dirt or grass, at least in my area. This was almost a show stopper for me because I am too old to be moving dirt in the back yard like that... but... a local cement guy put a pad down that was 9'x9'x4" . The cost of that will vary by location and is additional to the cost of the shed. In Seattle 2016 add a grand for the pad, less if you rent a mixer and pour the pad yourself.. HD and Tuff Shed were both wonderful and each did their job to my complete satisfaction. The installing Tuff Shed crew were good. Excellent experience all around. There is lead time between ordering and getting of about 4 weeks. My shed has no power, no plumbing, is less than 12'x12' in area, no taller than 12' so I required no permits of any kind. Call your local city hall for your permit requirements. I LOVE my shed and moving the garage into it making the garage the car storage area it is meant to be once again. My wife loves the shed because she gets to park inside the garage again. Tuff shed did excellent job with fabrication, painting, delivery and installation. Watching the 2 person installation was like seeing a house built in the back yard, very cool. The paint color on my home is Sherwin Williams Cyber Space and the shed is tuffshed Cobalt Blue. We got lucky that they match so close but my local Tuffshed would paint any colors or stains I delivered to them before fabrication. Thanks Home Depot and Tuff Shed. Good partnership and synergy on your parts. Would recommend to any one wanting a shed made of wood.
