With that being said, we did see prices as low as £40 per door and some as high as £150 per door! Obviously, this is just an average. We'd base this on a door that can be put against the frame and hung without falling into other problems. For example, sometimes a frame may need to be altered before it will accept the door. Or the carpenter might need to trim excess material away from the door in order for it to fit. This is why it's best to get as many quotes as possible and be honest when you speak to the person who will be fitting the doors. Tell them if you think the doors will need trimming or the frame adjusting - not only will they appreciate it, you're less likely to be stung by higher invoices than you were originally expecting. Remember when approaching multiple companies, the price can often be negotiable (every little helps!). If you don't ask, you don't get!
