Trailer Ramp Calculator

Is your trailer door too steep to get your car to the track or autocross? Are you tired of hauling around heavy, unsafe boards to use as a makeshift ramp extension? Race Ramps has the solution for you: simply place your trailer door on the notch of our specially-designed Trailer Ramps and decrease your angle of approach to as little as 4.3 degrees. These hassle-free, lightweight ramps are ideal for low-ground-clearance cars with extra-wide tires. Numerous size options are available in our one- and two-piece designs, with and without flap cut-outs. Use our ramp calculator above to determine which Trailer Ramps will work best for your car and trailer, and let us know if you have any questions. We are happy to make a custom set if our standard options don't work—just give us a call! Trailer Ramps are 100% solid, made with an exclusive patented process that coats high-density expanded foam with a traction surface for a lightweight ramp solution that is strong yet durable. The ramps will not slide, scratch, or otherwise damage any floor type and can hold up to 1,500 lbs. per ramp for a total vehicle weight capacity of 6,000 lbs. Step 1: Your Trailer Both enclosed and open trailers work with our Trailer Ramps. If your stock trailer ramps have an additional fold down ramp/flap, you can fold it up, remove it, or purchase a ramp that has a flap cut-out built into the ramp (check the appropriate box below). I have a Flap on the end of my Trailer Ramp/Door FLAP LENGTH (INCHES) 1 Measure from the ground to the top of your current trailer door/ramp at the hinge point. DOOR LENGTH (INCHES) 2 Measure from the ground to the top of your current trailer door/ramp at the hinge point. DOOR GROUND HEIGHT (INCHES) 3 Measure the thickness of trailer door/ramp. DOOR THICKNESS (INCHES) Step 2: Your Car 4 To determine the best angle of approach for your vehicle, we have devised the “yardstick test” below. If you do not have a yardstick, carefully measure out 36" with a tape measure or other straight, rigid object. You may need two sets of hands to get an accurate measurement here. YARDSTICK TEST Place a yardstick/tape measure at the base of your front wheel. Raise up the yardstick or tape measure until it hits the underside of your car (the spoiler). Measure vertically from the ground to the end of the yardstick or 36" point on the tape measure. Record that height here (in inches). YARDSTICK MEASUREMENT (INCHES)

Inexpensive Ways To Cover A Concrete Patio

That ugly concrete pad in the yard, ugh. Every year, season after season, that concrete patio begs for attention. Updating this outdoor area does not have to be expensive or complicated. You can dress it up with a fire pit, plants, or soft sofas. Better, we have lots of budget-friendly and fun projects to give your concrete patio a facelift. From projects that bring the family together to others that require some planning, here are a few creative ways to transform your concrete into a centerpiece. Before revitalizing concrete, it's essential to get your patio ready. According to Guardian Garage, it's best to remove the furniture, then scrub the concrete with a mild bleach solution and a nylon brush. Once you clean concrete and dry it, complete a careful assessment. If there are cracks under 1/4 inch wide, use concrete caulk, filler, or patching compound (via The Spruce). Before it sets, make sure to texture the top to match the rest of the patio. Once that repair is dried and cured, sweep the area clean, then seal the entire space. After you prepare your surface, it's time for the creative part. Here are some affordable ways to take your concrete patio from eyesore to eye-catching.
