What's it cost to build a shed?

One of the most asked questions I get is how much it costs to build a shed. The best way I can answer that question is to refer visitors to my materials cost sheet page on my site. There you can download any of the materials lists I have for all of my shed plans to determine the exact building cost. I also have a materials spreadsheet you can download. Each item used for building your shed is linked to Lowe's or shed windows and more.com where you can see how much that item costs. If you are interested in getting this spreadsheet please contact me and let me know.

Can you put a 3 pin plug on armoured cable?

The inner sheath of an SWA cable is just a filler and is not strong enough to be used in a 3 pin plug cord grip and unless you have a very very small SWA cable the outer sheath will not fit into a 3 pin plug cord grip. Even with industrial plugs you would be pushing your luck attempting to make a secure connection.

Thank you very much for taking the time to reply, it is really appreciated. So it sounds like going from 1.5mm flex to a 10mm SWA is ok.

I suppose what I was trying to ask is, have I just wasted money using 10mm SWA if the first part of the circuit is just 1.5mm. Is the circuit and the voltage limited by the 1.5mm cable?

Planning g to run Just power tools (drill, mitre saw) in a shed (one at a time!), and maybe a light. I have probably over egged it in case I wanted more in future.
