Excellent company fantastic communication with customers. Summer house was delivered to school on time and within delivery slot. The delivery driver was very helpful to the point of lending us some wheels to move the panels to the insterlation site. The communication I had with Natalie was second to none from the first phone call to the last email. She is a credit to the company and very professional. After explaining to Natalie what the summer house was going to be used for at school, and wanting the best quality my budget could afford I placed my order. Within days I received an email from Natalie offering me a free upgrade worth not hundreds of pounds but thousands. I can't thank this company enough for their kindness and generosity. This was not all. During the build process of the summerhouse Natalie continued to keep me informed of the progress and offered me a few choices to the build design on several occasions. The summer house was delivered in ready made panels, the framework is very strong and thick, very well built. I was even given boxes of screws and nails along with build instructions to assemble the summer house so no extra purchases were necessary. The only extra purchase I have to make is the choice wood preservative or paint. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for an excellent quality product. I will definitely use Sheds First again for any other purchases needed to develop our schools outdoor projects. I can't thank you enough for your generosity, excellent service and communication from the first call right through the process to end product and delivery service. The summer house will provide an excellent ooutdoor provision for our very special pupils who also send you a big thanks. Well done Sheds First keep up your excellent work and I'm sure your business will prosper for meny years to come. I wish you well. Thank you from one happy HLTA and the very excited special children and young people I have the privilege and pleasure to work with.

How do you waterproof a pallet shed?

To waterproof your wooden pallets, you'll want to add some kind of stain or sealant to the wood's surface, and sanding the wood pallet down will insure that these sealants take to the wood and protect it when applied.

How to make wooden pallets safe for use outdoors

Making your wooden pallets safe for use outdoors in your home DIY or garden project is a key step to enjoying your creation for years to come. The process of doing so with wooden pallets is quite simple and straight forward, although it will require a little bit of elbow grease.

1| Cleanse the pallet wood

To treat the wood of your pallet projects to protect them from the elements and make them waterproof, you’ll first want to ensure you are working with a clean surface. Clear the wood of any debris, dirt, or markings. This can usually be done by mixing a simple solution of water and dish soap, and scrubbing the surface with a rag until the wood is clean. This application of water will not affect your pallet long-term as long as you let it dry out!

2| Sand it down

The next step is sanding down your wooden pallet. Make sure the wood is dry before proceeding, and sanding the entire surface of your pallet. To waterproof your wooden pallets, you’ll want to add some kind of stain or sealant to the wood’s surface, and sanding the wood pallet down will insure that these sealants take to the wood and protect it when applied.

3| Seal the pallet wood

A stain-sealant combination will give the wood of your pallets a beautiful, natural color, while offering water resistance. If you want full waterproofing for your wooden pallets, you’ll want to apply a lacquer or varnish sealant. These sealants should be applied at room temperature, and with proper ventilation as the chemicals can be quite strong and even harmful in prolonged exposure.
