No matter what you call it, we’ve all had it at one time or another and we’ve all had to deal with the after-effects (which are never pretty). Now if you have a flush toilet in your home, you press the button and all evidence of your regrettable 3 am lamb kebab or dodgy-looking food wagon seafood pie is flushed away. With a composting toilet, you have to deal with things a little differently and we’re here to let you know how.

What to do if you have diarrhea on a composting toilet

Now you’re probably thinking to yourself (other than “I’m never eating three-day-old steak again”) “Can my composting toilet handle diarrhea?” Well, the answer to that question is yes – a composting toilet can certainly handle diarrhea. Because Diarrhea typically has a little more liquid in it than normal ‘poop’ you may find you might need to run the exhaust fan a little more than you would normally to help evaporate the additional liquid. How to clean a composting toilet if you diarrhea

You may wish to spray some water around the bowl or pedestal afterwards or simply wet some paper towel and wipe down.
