What’s the difference between a pergola and a pergoda?

We explain the difference between a pergola, pergoda and a pagoda, to help you decide which structure will create the perfect shaded area in your garden.

What’s the difference?

The pergola and pergoda are very similar concepts. Both are structures designed to provide shading in outdoor areas. The main difference is that pergodas feature a solid roof made up of slats, whereas pergolas feature a sliding or louvred roof for greater versatility. Pagodas are Asian in origin and feature a striking tiered tower design with multiple eaves. Like pergodas their roofs are solid, so they don’t offer the flexibility of a pergola.

A versatile way to make the most of your outside space

An aluminium pergola with a sliding and louvred roof will create an inviting shaded area in your garden, offering you the chance to make the most of your outside space. With the flexibility of an adjustable roof, you can control shade and airflow for maximum enjoyment throughout the day. What’s more, you can customise your aluminium pergola with outdoor heating and LED lighting. This means you’ll even be able to enjoy your garden hideaway in the winter months. With sliding glass panels, you can go even further and transform your pergola into a perfectly enclosed outdoor haven that’s protected from the elements. With a selection of colour options, you’ll be able to find a design that best suits your home. Stylish and practical, aluminium pergolas are the perfect option for creating a welcoming outside space that can be enjoyed all year round. How cold does a shed get in winter?

Most the night will likely be around 32 degrees. In the shed, you probably wouldn't have a problem until it dropped to around 20 degrees outside for a low considering how warm it has been during the day. Especially if you are talking 2" or larger lines on a larger sprayer. That's a lot of water to cool down and freeze.

Only 29, I don't think you'd have a problem with it sitting outside. Probably will only be below freezing for a couple hours since it usually drops a couple degrees around dawn (where the true "low" typically happens). At most, close the sump, blow the water out of your booms, and drain the pump. The tank will be fine. If you don't have boom clean-out on your sprayer, plumbing in an airline you can connect your air compressor to makes quick work of cleaning out your booms. Just make sure it has a check valve.
