Even when this wood comes in contact with water, still it would not get damaged and instead it would retain its form. The Sal wood is the roughly used one for construction especially the piles, door frames, and beams.

Deodar wood:

Though it is weighed less than the teak wood but still the deodar is also considered to be the strongest one. This wood is pretty much easier to saw and also work upon when it comes to smooth finishes. Though the deodar wood is not considered to be an ideal choice when it comes to painting or polishing finish. One of the reason for the same is after it has been polished or painted, it would start to release the oil after certain period of time thus making the finish look bad.

Shisham wood:

The shisham wood is considered to be hard wood just like the Sal wood. This one is also resistant towards fungus, white ants or any type of infestations. Even when it comes in contact with water or any harsh weather conditions, it would not lead to any twist or deformity in the wood. Even though it is similar to Sal in terms of hard wood, this wood is easier to work upon and you can also use saw on it to shape the way you want to. The above mentioned wood are few of the best quality that are normally used for creating Indian doors and window frames. However few of the secondary type of wood quality are babul, ben-teak, khair, chir, bahara and so on.
